If you’re at all familiar with baking, and have a pizza stone or baking tiles, then making pita bread is easy. It’s also a fun thing to do with kids and family.
To make pita crisps, cut pita in pieces, place on baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes in 400F oven.

Another mostly green harvest here this week. The asparagus harvest had been slowing down, but the recent rains have perked it up considerably. The classic wilted spinach salad is made with hot bacon drippings. This lightened version uses orange marmalade, balsamic vinegar and olive oil for a hot dressing. Serve with a whole wheat roll or bread for a great light lunch or dinner. With the tangy dressing, you won’t even miss the bacon!
