I had a hive several years ago, and I am thinking about getting another one. In the past I did it for the honey, but now I’m thinking about the other benefits.

Good luck with your project. Maybe beekeeping is in your future? We just started 2 hives. So far, they are surprisingly low-maintenance and the bees should really help out the production of fruits and veggies in our garden.

I haven’t been seeing bees in my garden lately, but I am not having much blooming there either. My rosemary and lavender were full of bees when they were blooming, but I didn’t know of the project to help count them on rosemary. In any case, they do seem to be decreasing year after year. It is so sad.

I agree the bees can use all the help they can get. I wonder if it’s too late to start sunflowers here?
