I am enjoyed the cold-weather gardening for sure. For one thing the pace of gardening is much more leisurely now than in summer when everything is coming on and needing attention seemingly all at once.

We had the komatsuna for dinner last night, but I confess we are still worshipping the deadon cabbage!

I am growing some komatsuna in our fall garden, now under plastic and hoops. I plan to grow much more next year and am so pleased with all that this plant offers.

Your deadon cabbage is very pretty -- I think I'd need to worship it's beauty before munching on it!

Glad to find another like-minded cold-weather gardener. Keep growing!

Gorgeous greens! btw...left a comment for you on Blotanical.
My sister just left her long-term home in the Chicago suburbs for a new place in So. Indiana. She's looking forward to milder winters and a longer spring / fall. I lived in Chicago near the lakefront and always saw the seasons as twofold - winter and summer. Now, I return each year in May or September. My favorite times of the year there.
Cheers!
