Noelle, that is where I would like to be 6 months from now - not buying bread. We also want to experiment with pita bread. I've made it before, but it has been years.

Deborah, I had the granola for breakfast this morning! I think my next batch will use dried cherries and almonds, which sounds like a good combination to me. Hopefully someday we will have enough cherries and blueberries to dry our own. Our plantings just need a few more years.

Your recipe sounds just delicious. Just this year, I have begun making our own bread. It has been 6 months since I have bought a loaf at the store :)
