Today I made my first blog. Doesn’t that sound vaguely like a confession uttered at a twice-weekly meeting of geeks like me trying to kick their self-destructive computer habits? It’s not like I am computer illiterate, or averse to technology. Rather, after spending many years working in the IT field (more years than I care to admit), I decided I wanted to spend my retirement as far away from computers as I could get. And I’m definitely not bored – I have been busy doing all the things I never had time to do when I was gainfully employed. Actually, I just decided to drag myself, kicking and screaming as it were, into the wide wild world of blogging. I want to explore what is now easily accessible to all who are willing to type, and upload. I reserve the right to quit at any time if I suddenly come to my senses. Right now, it’s a vehicle, and I’ll see if it takes me where I want to go.
